We are looking for PLAYWORKERS to join our teams in Bournemouth and Ringwood.
A great opportunity and experience for those interested in future careers working with children.
We are looking for individuals with a sense of fun who are happy to work with primary school children. You will need to be enthusiastic about promoting their play opportunities and helping them make new friends. Good knowledge of playground and other children's games is an asset and being a bit arty or sporty helps too. Drama, dancing and singing skills can help enhance the children's play experiences. Indoors we organise crafty creative art activies, cookery, junk modelling, painting, dancing and all sorts of other fun stuff...... And now for the serious stuff!
Applicants with childcare experience and who have Level 3 or 2 qualification in Playwork or Childcare are very welcome. However we will consider all applicants.
Successful applicants are required to provide full employment history, work references and an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS).
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be caring for children aged between 4 and 11 years old and organising play opportunities after school.
Duties on a daily basis include setting up Playrooms, liaising with parents and school, planning and setting up activities for indoor & outdoor play, preparing snack and clearing up rooms used at end of session.
You will be working within EYFS and Ofsted regulations.
Possible hours of work are between 7.30 am to 8.45 am for Breakfast Club and 2.45 pm to 5.45 pm for After School Club. In addition to these hours there is also an option to work during the School Holidays at our Holiday Clubs.
Successful applicants will be required to attend a local authority six hour Safeguarding Course.
